Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Shenvy service, including the websites shenvy.net and shenvy.app and all associated software, features, and content (collectively, the "Service").

By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service in any way, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account or use the Shenvy service. By using Shenvy, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

3. Service Description

Shenvy is a zero-knowledge secrets manager designed for software development teams and CI/CD pipelines. Shenvy has no technical capability to access, read, or disclose the plaintext content of any secret or environment variable you store.

4. Account and Browser Identity

Account credentials: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account login credentials. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Browser identity key: Your browser generates a cryptographic keypair stored locally under the key shenvy_identity. This key never leaves your browser and is never transmitted to Shenvy. Loss of this key means loss of access to your encrypted secrets. Shenvy cannot recover your browser identity key under any circumstances.

6. User Content and Data Ownership

You retain full ownership of all secrets, environment variables, project configurations, and other content you create or upload to Shenvy. Shenvy makes no claim to ownership of your User Content.

7. API Keys and Machine Tokens

You are solely responsible for the security of your API keys. Shenvy stores only a cryptographic hash of each API key, not the key itself. Lost API keys cannot be recovered.

8. Prohibited Uses

• Storing illegal content: Using the Service to store or facilitate access to content that is illegal under applicable law.
• Circumventing security: Attempting to reverse-engineer or bypass Shenvy's encryption mechanisms or access controls.
• Service abuse: Using the Service in a manner that places an unreasonable load on Shenvy's infrastructure.
• Credential sharing: Sharing your account credentials with unauthorised parties.
• Violation of law: Using the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law or regulation.

9. Termination

Termination by you: You may delete your account at any time using the self-serve account deletion feature (Settings → Account → Delete Account). Deletion is permanent and irreversible.

Termination by Shenvy: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you materially violate these Terms.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without any warranty. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, [PENDING — Full Legal Name] shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Shenvy's maximum aggregate liability shall not exceed the greater of: (a) amounts paid by you in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) €100.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Madrid, Spain.
